Artwork by the legendary Japanese hardcore punk artist SUGI and comes in a gatefold sleeve. If you've heard either band before you know what to expect. ABSOLUT play devastating HC punk influenced by late era Cimex and other punk bands with a metal tinge to them. The vocals on this are relentless. PARANOID hailing from Sweden have members from many other Swedish kang bands and are in my opinion one of the world's best current punk acts. Taking influence from the countless raging Swedish bands they grew up with but also taking plenty of cues from Japan and combining them into a barrage of intense hardcore punk that will leave you numb!

The EP tells the story of Dawit Isaak, a Swede-Eritrean journalist, author and playwriter. He came to Sweden as refugee 1987 and got Swedish citizenship 1992. In September 2001, he and other journalists where arrested for demanding democratic reforms in Eritrea. Without a fair trial, he has now served more than 1,518 days in prison. Despite the fact that Dawit Isaak is a swedish citizen, the swedish government has done nothing to try to set him free.

"LUMPEN is a band born in Barcelona, and carries the indisputable touch of rawness that the Colombian roots of its members provide. It sounds quite close to what the cover of the record transmits, designed by the bassist of the band Mateo Correal, and without a doubt it embodies its title: despair. Iconic rhythms of the UK-82 accompany messages that invite us to take over public spaces and a kind of urban guerrilla self-managed by the nihilistic impulse conducive to punk. Strictly aiming to capture a feeling rather than replicate something substantially musical, the low beats in a melodious boom consume the listener in what feels like a kind of suction into a dark pit of tar. A voice in agony accompanies visceral bursts of noise that incite the demented pogo. With extreme influences ranging from Chaos UK, Disorder to The Clay, LUMPEN itself is a totally crackling visual and sound aesthetic that invites an anti-partisan political initiative that is far from the conformist nihilism that prevails at the time."
