"Böset thanks Blåvitt and it is fun for them and sad for me because I am supporting GAIS and it did not go so well this year. I don't give a damn about football right now because music is the thing. The three songs are angry things and A.C.A.B. starts and it may not be that difficult to understand what it's all about. Förlorar Kontroll is a sad song about the future and Klasskrig is about Rich White Disgusting pigs so you understand that there are no positive sounds but it is songs that are unfortunately needed. What about the music?......... It's so nice that they start with Frank Gunnarsson at the beginning of A.CA.B. And it's fast and angry music that Böset plays. A bit like early Discharge I think and hope they take it as a compliment. Mormor Kommer has Siken on drums and he figures a little here and there in Punksweden nowadays. The text (En hederlig man) that sticks to me here is about men who is harassing women and there is a scourge of these disgusts. The other two songs give us strength like just that! What about the music?..... There's fast music here with a singer who sounds different. Here, too, I draw parallels to very early crustpunk like Anticimex or something like that. Six-band, six-song compilation 7" with all of the bands hailing from Philadelphia's extremely active crust scene. "Six band crust compilation" aren't exactly words that make me reach for my wallet these days, but this EP is surprisingly and consistently awesome. In particular, I'm impressed with how each band is able to find their own voice within the crust milieu... just on the first side you have the Brood's more Wasted Time-type heavy hardcore sound, Dronez' noisier, Framtid-influenced d-beat, and Alement's thrash metal-infused metallic crust. I'm always impressed when I see a label put together a good vinyl compilation because I know how hard they are to do (R.I.P. catalog number SSR-11), but No Sun Shines Here would be strong coming out of any era.
