Charging Swedish punk attack, burning guitars and sore throats, cracked cymbals and worn out Discharge records, "KängNäve" (pronounced schang-naa-veh, meaning "crust fist") is the second full length album by Stockholm's humor-laced Sunday Morning Einsteins. Full tilt hardcore with a wickedly bent sense of humor, Sunday Morning Einsteins previously released an LP on Minneapolis Sin Fronterias label and a 7" ("Svensk Mangel" EP) on Prank. This LP follows the Prank EP in a double-time hardcore assault and/or salute on/to the beer sodden crusties who, at peak moments carefully holding a can of beer in one hand, raise the other hand in the KängNäve-crust fist!!! Okay, these guys might be kidding, but that's what they told Prank the concept was. Chalk it up to translation of Swedish humor and a band made up of members of legendary hardcore bands Wolf Brigade and Svart Snö not afraid to do a piss-take, at least lyrically, on their own scene. Musically it's up there with the best of detonating hardcore powerhouses, riffing with the complexity and overdrive of Svart Snö, but explosive in it's own direction.
Out of print for half a decade, the 7" EP's recorded by Oakland's TALK IS POISON have become Cult legend among Hardcore collectors and fans, pegged as a " modern Classic" by the FLEX punk discography, cited as an influence on many bands that followed them since their brief existence in the late 1990's.
First of two Lps collecting all the recorded work of the Pist. The Pist were noteworthy for putting some of their best songs on splits and comps (as opposed to their worst songs as is the case with most bands) As a result these two LPs (or one CD) worth of 7" and comp tracks feature some of the best Pist material as opposed to the leftovers and out takes. This is the first of Two LPs and containts the classic Destroy Society 7", the Pist tracks from the split with Malachi Krunch, Punk USA, and Pogo Attack comp tracks. There's also some unreleased demo tracks and a few covers as a bonus.
"This is the third and maybe the best RESTARTS album and it´s far more close to "Slumworld" and not that polished and "clean" as "System Error". It´s good, in fact really good, dirty, catchy, angry punkrock out of Hackney / London and you get 13 new tracks packed in an nice looking cardboard sleeve very similar to their 7" compilation on "Active". An anti "Plastic" statement, a poster and a "Sing a long" illustrated lyric sheet. All in all a solid releases hence that their price policy of 4.50 GBP wholesale is a bit odd and we only can do them cheap because we picked them up directly. So, no wholesale from us and no restock... Get them while you can."
Another one of my favorite records of the 80's re issued on my own label. As a die hard fan and collector, it is such a thrill to be able to re press release like this and see my label logo at the bottom. I bought this record when it came out in 1984 (I was 15) and I have been crazy about it ever since. Varukers and Discharge were the two most raging and intense of the UK bands to ratchet punk up to hardcore speed and power in the early 80's. This LP sees Varukers delivering top notch hardcore punk, the guitar tone and riffage are savage, the vocals raw and powerful. The guitar has a bit of the metallic crunch that would permeate hardcore in the future, but still remains grounded in punk. This Lp ranks with Discharge "Hear Nothing See Nothing Say Nothing" as an example of UK hardcore punk at it's very best.
“The Great Misanthrope” is a frontal clash, a hit without a warning. Thema Eleven plunges deeply into raw riffs that gush with animal energy. Can you feel it? The corpse is still warm… Not a single ray of light can be found in this record. It’s a solid mass, and it refuses processing. The thundering sound is owed to Ondřej Ježek and Alex Newport (ex-Fudge Tunnel and Nailbomb, collaborated w/The Melvins, At The Drive-In, Panthers), and it’s impact is crushing and merciless. Think of the impenetrable darkness of Neurosis, the jarring urgency of Envy, gathered together with the dark and heavy visionary appeal of Torche. “The Great Misanthrope” has arrived. Listen to it, or get out of the way.
American hardcorepunk with members of State of fear, Collaused teams up with French crust punk rockers that rages on in the Poison Idea feeling
Another fast thrashing hardcore record from Wisconsin's U.S.V.; you might remember the thrasher they did on Havoc Records. The music is fast and furious but all the weird movie sound bites add a sense of comedy to the approach, but the U.S.V. lyrical content is quite good (even a song telling people to read the god damn lyric sheets!). This is a good record, and I would say anyone that likes D.S.13 or Code 13 is going to like this as well (not that U.S.V. sounds like either of these bands, but the same people that dig those bands will dig U.S.V.). Thrash on!
Ursut is a four-piece hardcorepunkband from Malmö, Sweden, and consist of members from a.o. Intensity, Kontrovers and Project Hopeless. The band started out late 2009 and was soon to record a well recieved demo. Ripping Scandinavian HC/Punk or D-Beat Punk Rock - 14 straight forward songs with a super tight and powerful rhythm section, shredding guitars, insane throaty shrieking vocals and great lyrics. Completed by great artwork from Steve/fartwork! “Dårarnas paradis” is straight on d-beat hardcorepunk with lyrics in swedish.
second fullength of this Swedish dödskäng punk unit, raw and brutal as a buldozer running over the fields of madness.

Fourth LP from Sweden's Victims. Victims have been the front of Swedish hardcore for many years mixing traditional Swedish D Beat and Crust sounds with more straight forward American hardcore influences. This LP has all the tight and crushing arrangements you'd expect from this crew. A few more songs leaning towards the "d beat rocknroll" end of hardcore, but over all very much in the same punishing tradition of the last two LPs.
