Sub Alert, What Makes You Go On? -7"

Swedish Sub Alert (Tidaholm) is a band that seems not to be in the d-beat genre nor in the crust genre. The influences are more old-school, adding their own Tidaholm spices. This release is on Fight Back Records which is also the label of the drummer, Masken. I like this heavy unpolished hardcore and unlike a lot of the “pity-buy” I do this day. The later are records which pass the turntable once before being stored in the basement. This one will stay in my living room until further notice.

Sub Alert / Angelpiss, split 7"

Sub Alert goes out on an all out attack from the start of this 7″, slows things down a little bit in the following two tracks but ends it in a raging manner like they started. It’s rough, raw and pissed off.
Angelpiss also delivers raw hardcore, with dual fe/male vocals. For some reason I think of a mix between Signal Lost and Anti Nowhere League, only more raw and hard. Good stuff from both bands.

Absolutely murdering is their sharp, head-cutting-off sound!
4 songs and Charles Bronson cover, and you have it in your face!
On the flip side are TASTE OF FLESH from Indonesia, they bring some pure 625´s styled thrash brutality. fast old school with angry vocals and lot of sing a longs... a classic.
And they have really excellent guitar solos and absolute crazy screaming.
