CRUST-HARDCORE. Following up their self released 7" comes a 10 song full-length crusher from the Bay-Area's SAHN MARU. Stripped down d-beat and crust influenced hardcore-punk that is vocally reminiscent of mid era LOGICAL NONSENSE and lyrically and musically, the dark heavyness of HIS HERO IS GONE comes to mind. This is raw and angst-filled crust-hardcore with a hint of the traditional East-Bay flavor. SAHN MARU features members of BLOWN TO BITS and the MURDERERS. Definitely worth to check this one out!

The Restarts first crawled out of the North London Squat scene nearly a decade ago. Serial dole scroungers the lot of them, they named their band after the dreaded 'back to work' interviews and set about touting their stroppy four-chord punk to spiky-haired audiences around the world. Yelling out barbed diatribes against the state over chunky metal guitars, they've slowly but surely clawed their way to the top of the underground pile. Staying true to their punk ideals and more DIY than Homebase, The Restarts book their own tours, produce their own (outstanding) artwork, and stick with anti-corporate labels and promoters.
Absolutely great thrash metal from Berlin.The kids have their root into the political punk scene and their statement "The idea was to kill posers, pseudo metal idiots, and to create an own sound. And for sure to go on many tours, drink a lot of beer, and present musical aggression. Loud and fast!" says it all.Great recording, great songs and great artwork.What else should I say?? Buy or die!
Devastating crasher crust, songs got some hooks and structure.Originally from a Cdr demo, those tracks got pressed on vinyl by the Swedish label Putrid Filth Conspiracy. 500 copies i think. Another dollar bin ripper. Try it, this stuff's real good.

Their first release in over 10 years, this is a crushing return by Greek crust innovators PANIKOS. I was actually quite floored by how unique this album sounds; it’s a perfect joining of 90’s UK/European style crust with an overdriven industrial backdrop. Layers of atmospheric synth backup some absolutely solid metal punk riffs that bring to mind as much KILLING JOKE as it does mid-career AMEBIX. Lyric insert in both native Greek and English, there is definitely a little lost in the English translation, although I couldn’t help but try to sing along to the chorus to the track “Nyxta Taraxwn” (‘Riotnight’). If you are into the recent offerings by Prank-backed Polish industrial crusites PESD (also highly recommended), I suggest you check out this fantastic comeback record from a somewhat overlooked gem of the 90’s. PANIKOS manages to keep their sound fresh and relevant, and it is refreshing to hear a release with this much style and attitude. (Rob Hanna)
