Utterly political, raging crustpunk, driven fe/male vocals. The anarchapunx Protestera are back! Some [new] songs were released as the split with the Warsaw punx Massmilicja (HALVEP098, 2016), but here are the new fullength album. Q: And the music? A: And the music! The music is for what Protestera has become what they are today. If you liked 01.05.1886, you'll love Pengarna eller livet. The album is essential in every home; not just the punkcollection. Everyone has to reflect upon which society we wanna live in. Do we need war? Do we need the capitalistic system?

We have now entered the final form of Exit Hippies' evolution. Their transformation, from crust to dance, is complete. Rejoice, get jiggy with it, or just leave the hall.
Exit Hippies began as a band that loved crust punk and dance music in equal parts. Their mix of shit-fi Extreme Noise Terror/Sore Throat worship with lo-fi acid house techno is legendary, and changed my life forever. Over their long discography, they have made a lot of brutal crustcore records, with varying amounts of techno interlaced throughout them.
In their final form, Exit Hippies has truly fused crust and dance into a hybrid form of music that's unlike anything else I'm familiar with. No longer content to just have "punk" and "dance" rubbing shoulders, they've brought these styles together to produce an uncompromising, defiant mutant offspring that defies categorization. Imagine Underground Resistance fronted by Dean Jones, remixing Confuse songs. Maybe "Police Bastard" as performed by Model 500. If A Band Called Flash is playing "heavy heavy future funk", this is "noise noise dystopia funk".
On second thought, don't even try to understand, just dance it out."

Mexico City has maintained one of the most exciting punk scenes in the world for the past few years. From SPHC fam like Muerte and Inservibles to inspiring groups like Anti-Sex and Riña, we always have one eye on what's happening 'south of the border'. Of course Sacrificio doesn't escape our attention. They made our ears perk up with their self-released 2013 demo tape, they made our heats beat faster with their 2014 debut 7" on Cintas Pepe Records, and now they've got our fists in the air with a powerhouse first album.
Sacrificio play hardcore punk the way it was meant to be played: straight from the heart by way of the gut, full of character and attitude, without pose or copying. On this LP, they're at their fastest, with their most complex arrangements and dynamic songs yet, but also their most aggressive and unhinged. I'm reminded of 90's bands like Capitalist Casualties and G-Anx, building upon 80's bands like Heresy, HHH, and Raped Teenagers.
Fall in love with punk again. =)
Art by my hardcore brother Yecatl (Cintas Pepe Records, Muerte and a million more bands).
Deviated Instinct formed in 1984 and were a crucial pioneering band in the early British punk/metal scene. Along with bands like Antisect and The Amebix, Deviated Instinct’s music has influenced legions of bands and helped to define the sound we know today as “Crust”. This is their first new studio release in over 22 years. It’s everything fans have come to expect from Deviated Instinct and more. This album features four songs of epic proportions. Their sound on this record bridges the gap between d-beat style crust and heavy metallic doom. The songs are well thought out and skillfully played with top notch studio production. Includes a download card for a digital version plus extra bonus material. Profane Existence is proud to be apart of this release!

Hailing from the depths of the Irish North West, Subordinate breath new life to Irish hardcore scene showing there is more coming out of this Island than what the crust stronghold of Dublin has to offer. ‘Respect existence or expect resistance’ will be Subordinates first full length having unleashed a 12″ EP ‘To See Their Demise’. Evolving their sound into a lengthy crushing discernible force that grasps to influences from Spanish crust bands like Ekkaia and Madame German over an inherent Irish crust sound creating hardcore contortion overriden by politicalized lyrics through contrasting battling vocals.

Segue were a female-fronted crust band from Minneapolis (with ex-Servitude members)
"This is definitely one of my favorite discoveries thus far. I can't get enough of the vocals on this. Make sure to give it a listen. Unfortunately, this seems to be Segue's only material that uses cello."

Raw fin-punk from Gothenburg Sweden. Really fucking raw and brutal like the 80.ties way of madness
"The 241ers. The bastard sons of the Stockyard Stoics and the Filaments. Two very fine bands indeed. Both were amazing live and had decent albums to back it up. So, you would expect the 241ers to be half decent too, no? Well, they are. It is absolutely no surprize at all that Household Name snapped them up.
Some people might be a bit disappointed that the 241ers are a lot more chilled out than the old bands they guys were in. But the beauty of the 241ers is that they are quite a nice change from the usual stuff I get sent for review. The politics are very much Billy Bragg meets Pennywise – the music is much more Against Me! Style. It’s a nice mix between US and UK politics and vocals too – Mr Jonny One Lung himself adds a nice sense of Britishness to proceedings. What’s more, it all sounds like everyone is at home with acoustic-based tunes. It’s gritty without the need for distorted guitars.
There is always the school of thought that objects to the kind of politics that the 241ers indulge in – the title of the album will probably tell you whether you want a piece or not. These boys have a bit between the ears though, which is why they have managed to make a fine punk rock album without really playing punk.

Recorded in 1983, this record contains 15 songs from 3 sessions. With a few different takes you get a total of 25 blistering tracks. For those unfamiliar with WARWOUND, they are a UK band formed in 82. WARWOUND recorded 3 demos in 83 before disbanding and members went on to join THE VARUKERS and form SACRILEGE. These demos never received an official release… until now! Highly influenced by DISCHARGE, WARWOUND is one of the first bands ever to take D-Beat Punk to a raw and intense level. Recently reformed in 2015, original guitarist Damian is now joined by Ian Glasper on bass and Rat Varuker on vocals. After a few gigs in the UK word is spreading fast of the relentless onslaught of a live show these veterans put on. WARWOUND have also recently hit the studio to record for the first time in over 30 years.

Finnish hardcore punkers Kansalaistottelemattomuus recorded an album a few years ago, 14 tracks that never ended up making it to an LP. Many of the tracks appeared in various places, a 7", a couple of split singles, a split CD and compilation tracks, but here for the first time is the actual album in its entirety, including the as yet unreleased tracks from the same session. Featuring Deek from Oi Polloi on vocals, expect a similar kind of anarcho crust, brilliant stuff! A co-release with Global Resistance Records.

One of the pioneers of finnish hardcore-punk is back with a devastating new album. Straight from Tampere punk city since 1981, 11 tracks of dense hardcore as the air on the darkness of finnish forests contaminated by the return of original bassist Piise. The speed and unmistakable attitude under the noise edge of one of the most memorable punk vocals in history is back! Pure Scandi-core that will make all the fans of Tervet Kadet, Varaus and Appendix go crazy!
Relatively new band from Sweden with their first LP filled with 10 tracks of raging hardcore punk. Features members from Makabert Fynd, Passiv Dödshjälp and Vengeance of Karma and in a way that sums up the sound of this. It doesn’t really sound like those bands, but there are traces of both Makabert Fynd and Passiv Dödshjälp in there, not too familiar with Vengeance of Karma though.Anyway, quality Swedish hardcore punk with some cool melodic sections where the vocals and guitars follow eachother in a way that has me thinking a bit of Oral. Well, well… enough with comparing to other bands, Förgiftad are strong enough on their own merits.
