Here we have pure d-beat orgy with tones of modern crustcore guitar leads and riffs, melodic and catchy bridges, fast drums and dual male vocals, both angry and mean. I know you think From Ashes Rise (also Never Built Ruins and the other brutal neo-crust german bands) etc and you should do, but here is something bigger than just "neo-crust" label, it's about heart, passion and beating, or even better i like to think is the legacy of another great finnish band called Sharpeville. Tortured dual male/female vocals, from this CT band, taking off where they left off on the LP. The songs on this are due to appear on two 7"s, but were not ready for their tour - hence this CD. They've since got Matt on guitar and have certainly got harder and faster. 8 songs of blistering crustcore/d-beat mayhem, that are top notch in their execution and recording quality. All played at an adrenalin drenched fastish pace, with plenty of slow harrowing heavy breakdowns which soon pick up the gaunlet and kick into gear again. The dual vocals suit the mood and have a real early ENT vibe, coupled with a STATE OF FEAR, WARTORN, classic Swedish sound and a pissed off fury that throws caution to the wind and gives us some truely impressive songs that are easily part of the forefront of amazing bands existing today. Topics such as abortion, immigration, mental illness, poseur punks (who aren't worth the patches on their clothes) and many more suffer the onslaught that is MAN THE CONVEYORS, ripping them apart in a poetic and passionate venom spat fury that cries of injustice. Suitably angry artwork accompanies their words, driving their message home even further. Released my their guitarist Matt and you really need to get this as I've been listening to it constantly.

"The 241ers. The bastard sons of the Stockyard Stoics and the Filaments. Two very fine bands indeed. Both were amazing live and had decent albums to back it up. So, you would expect the 241ers to be half decent too, no? Well, they are. It is absolutely no surprize at all that Household Name snapped them up.
Some people might be a bit disappointed that the 241ers are a lot more chilled out than the old bands they guys were in. But the beauty of the 241ers is that they are quite a nice change from the usual stuff I get sent for review. The politics are very much Billy Bragg meets Pennywise – the music is much more Against Me! Style. It’s a nice mix between US and UK politics and vocals too – Mr Jonny One Lung himself adds a nice sense of Britishness to proceedings. What’s more, it all sounds like everyone is at home with acoustic-based tunes. It’s gritty without the need for distorted guitars.
There is always the school of thought that objects to the kind of politics that the 241ers indulge in – the title of the album will probably tell you whether you want a piece or not. These boys have a bit between the ears though, which is why they have managed to make a fine punk rock album without really playing punk.

Recorded in 1983, this record contains 15 songs from 3 sessions. With a few different takes you get a total of 25 blistering tracks. For those unfamiliar with WARWOUND, they are a UK band formed in 82. WARWOUND recorded 3 demos in 83 before disbanding and members went on to join THE VARUKERS and form SACRILEGE. These demos never received an official release… until now! Highly influenced by DISCHARGE, WARWOUND is one of the first bands ever to take D-Beat Punk to a raw and intense level. Recently reformed in 2015, original guitarist Damian is now joined by Ian Glasper on bass and Rat Varuker on vocals. After a few gigs in the UK word is spreading fast of the relentless onslaught of a live show these veterans put on. WARWOUND have also recently hit the studio to record for the first time in over 30 years.

CD with OBI. Your eye raked on a seven-inch hair spike is just the beginning of this 1979-1984 retrospective look at one of California’s most seminal hardcore/Punk bands. Compiling the tracks from their out-of-print eponymous 12-inch, their 1984 7-inch, “Steel Case Enclosure” from the Rat Music For Rat People Volume 2 comp, “Annihilation” from MRR’s All Quiet on The Western Front, comp., plus five live tracks recorded at CBGB’s in 1984. Sixteen tracks compiled and digitally remastered by the band and released on their own label, and it sounds GREAT. An amazing collection with rare studio and live tracks. It also includes a great history of the band. Sothira is one of the greatest punk vocalists of all time- with his sloppy slightly out of time punches to the driving dis-style hardcore this band has influnced many and will continue to do so for a long time to come.
